Bai Liang Cha 2012

Bai Liang Cha is a classic Anhua Hei Cha, traditionally compressed into cylindrical logs wrapped in bamboo or palm leaves. Its name refers to the traditional Chinese unit of weight liang, with a full log weighing 100 liang, or approximately 3.6 kg. The tea leaves tend to lose weight over time, and the 100 liang often refers to the total packaged weight, including the bamboo wrapping.

True to its heritage, this tea offers a layered interplay of woody, sweet, and tart aromas and flavors. Lively notes of apple and dark berries shift between sweetness and tartness with each infusion, all resting on a solid foundation of dry cedarwood and beeswax. The mouthfeel remains light and refreshing throughout, with a lingering aftertaste that invites you to savor each sip a little longer.

Like a stroll through an orchard on a sunny late-summer day, this Bai Liang Cha combines lightness with comfort, inviting moments of carefree, uncomplicated tea enjoyment.
