Yandang Maofeng

A high-grade Maofeng with origins outside of the renowned Yellow Mountains certainly deserves some attention. This one, like a hidden gem, comes from Nengrencun, (‘cun’ meaning village) that sits on the slopes of Yandang mountain and hence its name. While there are many Maofengs on the market, rarely does one meet the superior standard of cleanliness and minerality this one presents. From every brew comes a sweet and pale liquor with a decidedly waxy body that emanates delicate flavors of cornsilk and fresh fava beans, evoking the subtle scenery of a natural spring hiding within stony valleys.

GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 2g / 150ml
  • Water temperature: 80°C

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in a tall glass and fill with water before adding the leaves. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
