Like an ancient canyon shaped by the elements over millions of years, the lines of this cup flow naturally and smoothly, almost like the folds of fine fabric, inviting you to touch them yourself. This invitation extends to a connection with the homeland of the artist, who crafted local clay mixed with weathered quartz sand in the style of traditional bronze wares from the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Fired at a temperature of 1280 degrees and polished repeatedly over the course of three years, the resulting grainy texture provides even more to explore as you experience the interaction between this unglazed cup and your favorite teas.
Each cup is unique, so all dimensions are approximate.
