Milan Xiang Superior

This Milan Xiang is everything Dancong, but more: brighter fruit, bigger flowers, distinct minerality, definite roasting. A juicy body opens up immediately with flavors of ripe mango, strawberry, and apple, finishing with a mild astringency that just whets the palate for more. While the roasting may mellow with further storage, the pleasing chord it produces with the fruit, the soft aromatics of cream and white flowers, and the namesake honey sweetness recommend this tea for enjoying right now. Its generosity in flavor—relatively few leaves needed for such an intense taste—is matched only by the longevity of aroma, which will linger on and on.

IN THE TEAPOT
  • Quantity: 6g / 500ml
  • Water temperature: 90°C
  • Infusion time: 4–5 min
GONGFU CHA METHOD
  • Quantity: 3g / 100ml
  • Water temperature: 90°C
  • 4 infusions: 45, 60, 60, 90 sec

For best results in gongfu cha, brew in the traditional gaiwan or in a Yixing teapot. Too high water temperature would burn the leaves, resulting in bitter taste.
